FAIL THREAD!!!!

My girlfriend found her zune in the washing machine about a month ago.
The only problem is, the new ipods all suck. That's what I was getting her for xmas but now I have no ideas...

Archos players ..... cheapers and very better quality than crappy apple products, imho ;)

Archos players ..... cheapers and very better quality than crappy apple products, imho ;)

I've owned a few Archos players and they are 50/50 if they are junk or not. I had to send 2 back because of hard drive issues. I never in my life have praised Apple, and have always talked down about their products. But I bought an Ipod gen 4 for my GF for Christmas, and its awesome. Its light, thin, goes on the internet and uses all kinds of cool apps. The games are lame, but it truly a hand held entertainment center, that surfs the internet. I cant help but to recommend it.

I wanted to get her a nano (for the size) but all of the new ones are touch so you have to take it out of your pocket to change the song.
The clicker headphones that SHOULD come with it are like $30 extra.
They also took out the video/photo/audio recording for this model.
2 steps forward, 6 steps back.
I am still rockin' the old 160Gb model from YEARS ago, better battery life, plays all of the movies I want (I think there are about 80 + about 200 episodes of top gear, chapell show, etc.) and at least 5000 songs. I can change the track in my pocket too, invaluable when you are on the sportbike, at work, or working out.

I've had good luck with creative players, though I don't know if they are still around. I've still got an old 20GB model that I bring along every now and then, it's at least 8 years old!

Then I've got a Ipod video, 30GB I think. I still prefer the creative over the Ipod.

Now I use my Nexus, but to be honest the stock music player is a bit lacking. There are some apps that are better, or so I've heard, but I just listen to Pandora all the time now anyway.
Can't wait for Gingerbread, the new music player should be awesome!

My GF has the Zune too, and I have an Archos Gmini 400. The great thing about my Gmini is that you can hack it to play all the original Saga console games. I need a battery now, and it cost too much for the company to change it. They have a hack battery, but its hit or miss whether you brick it or not.

I had an Acer 20Gb and an old Archos, and never had problems with them, except the fact that they ended their life killed for accidents (my guilty, lefting them in the hands of little kids ..... one fell out from a boat, and the other flied out from a car window at 90Km/h ..... don't know why, but they not survived :p) ..... actually i have an old Grundig player, lost somewhere in the mess, but i use players very few, in these times.

Anyway, anything you decide, don't gift Sony products (except if you hate the one that must receive the gift) ..... they have proprietary format and drm schemes, and reject to play anything that is not passed through their conversion software (and the conversion software refuse to convert your MP3 songs, if you cannot proof that you owe the original CD :p)

I just use a different software instead of itunes
foola has worked well for me so far but microsoft might be screwing with other elements on the ipods to keep people from doing exactly that.
Why do they have to make something good, sell a lot of them and then completely screw it up?
I am almost to the point where, unless I can make it, the quality isn't good enough to own.
My products are INDUSTRIAL.
I make motorcycle armor, it can turn a bullet
I make heatsinks, they have near infinite runtimes
Leather products, can be worn for 10+ years
electronics, I waterproof and crush proof almost everything
what is wrong with putting a little extra value in your products?
Most people are willing to pay a little more for obviously better quality. /rant *sorry guys*

Uhm, i'm not sure about that what you want to say ..... anyway, i've opened so much ipods for repair, that i can grant you that you can't find "high quality" that worth the price, in them ..... at least, all the ones i've opened was cheapy chinese/taiwanese electronic mass-assembly :p :D

(BTW, i'm not saying that the others are better quality, i'm saying only that, for the quality they have, for me they don't worth the price)

(Double post, i know, it's a fail :p)

Well, i'm posting this here, i'm not sure for you, but i tend to consider it as a fail, so ..... i was searching the more strange or absurd things in which someone may have placed a laser, just for the fun, and i stumbled on this ..... now, i know lasers and flashlights in a single host, but a flashlight with a green laser and a video recorder camera all together, well, it's the first time i see it :p ..... and i consider it a fail both for the apparent size (it looks as a half baseball bat :p), and for the absurd price (other than the fact that i really doubt about the "3oomW" :p) .....

Digital Video Recorder Super Bright Flashlight with 300mW Green Laser Pointer and 8G Memory Hidden Camera (QW078) - US$ 559.99

(uhm, this can also be another argument for the fail thread ..... finding the more absurd things in which manufacturers have placed a laser, i mean :p :D)

I dunno, that might be a win.
Find your way around the backyard, play with a laser and get beamshots all at the same time.
Still needs another function though, maybe a compartment inside for a light snack ^_^
+1 for finding that gem!
*edit* can't +1 you again for a while

This is just wrong.....

Yeah, the shakeweight has been around for a while, but this is the first I've seen of a shakeweight for men.
