I'm not kidding when I say that was the default expression the whole movie. I know actors play to certain strengths, but it would have been nice to see a greater emotional range from the guy instead of just angry/confused/disappointed the whole time.
***Minor wolverine plot spoilers ahead, really really minor. You've been warned.
With Wolverine, I thought they did a a great job overall. They developed a bit of a love story there, and gave him more depth. In the first wolverine movie, I feel it was rather stupid the way they just glossed over his history pre WWII. (There is a rationale in one of the books for that, in that while he does heal from anything, and is essentially immortal [healing ability varies greatly from one source to the next] he loses his memory of past lives, due to having lived hundreds, maybe thousands of years.)
The one scene which completely didn't fit was with the ninja's... I mean you would think somewhere between the first 2-3 arrows with ropes pulling him to a stop, he'd start cutting them off... he is well equipped for that after all. The confrontational approach was also silly... to just go in through the main street. Meanwhile Deathstrike does the logical thing, and safely takes the back door
