Just to satisfy my curiosity, if you have an i-phone 4 now, why do you want to know if mine is a 3g, or a 3gs ??? Just wondered why ??? BTW, mine is a 3gs.

Because it if important info for you sale and i was curious. Now i can say it freely, else i couldnt because that would runin your sale.
Iphone 3g sucks. The real iphone begins at 3gs.
3g is slow, crashes alot, gets hot fast, crap gps....

Sorry to through this in with everyone else on your for sale thread, but you really should be providing additional information in your first post, rather then having people read down the thread to get the answers they need.

You need in your post:
Pictures
Description that includes:
Model (Original iPhone, 3G, 3GS, 4)
OS version (3.2? 4.0? 4.2.1?)
Color

No different then selling a Laser here...people want details!

I'll delete this as necessary.

BTW Black 16gb 3GS's are selling for $200 on ebay.
