Equivalent or close enough alternatives to the LM317 IC

Hey folks, First I would like to thank you for allowing me to join the forum. I apologize if this is somewhat of a repeat( I looked and looked but didn’t find this anywhere). So I am a complete nube and I mean newb when it comes to lasers and making circuits. However, I am willing to learn and I try. But anyways to my Question. I broke the only lm 317 I had from my spare Parts. What are some other items that are equivalent or near that of e lm317. I am attempting to make a burning laser. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Go to DTR laser shop there you will find a big choice of awesome drivers. These are the best there is for our hobby.
No need to go anywhere else.I been using them for years .
