Enchanted Beams Thread

I have an NDB7675 @2.8A doing pretty much the same wavelength as my 477nm. Very nice color.

I have heard that pushing that particular diode that hard can shift the WL much higher than 462nm. I have two in my stock and a 2.4 amp driver, but I don't have the desire to get it that much higher at the potential cost of the diode. Maybe I'll wake up one morning and decide to take that chance. But, I was planning on running one at 1.8 amps which should get it at least into 465nm or a little better.

At 2.8A it's certainly close to death. Power drops quickly from 1.5W to 800mW. Can only use it for a few seconds. I'm only doing it because I have another one set much lower.

Yeah, I don't see myself ever driving one of these diodes at 2.8 amps. That has got to be very hard on the diode. I'm a bit surprised it survives at all.

Finally some Auroras, wo-hoo..!! :p
Weak ones but no cloud cover to bury the sight...

Wish I could get some clear skies like that here. I can even see the stars quite easily. Beautiful photos, Tero. I have to spread more rep before it will allow me to rep you, so I owe you. :yh:

Got some milkyway shots today,
I'll post more pics in few days when I get back home :p

Very nice, as always, Tero. Where were these taken? You seem to have many clear nights in your vicinity. I am out of reps , so I'll have to owe you. :thanks:

Beautiful photos as always, AD, really like the last few!
When does your winter wonderland finally become free of snow for the season?

Thanks Paul & Bowtie! :thanks:

@ Bowtie: We have still 1 meter of snow and freezing temperatures, so I guess not for a while :p
