eBay bots?

Hey guys, last week (ending on Sunday) I was auctioning some stuff off on eBay.

All of the items sold to legit buyers that have either paid and/or contacted me, except one.

3 days before that particular auction ended, I got a bid from a 0 feedback new user named " kurtbuckeridge81"

The night the auction ended, I got another bid from a 0 feedback new user, that actually won, named "aaronsuper14"

It has been 3 days since the auction ended, I have sent him messages asking for replies etc, but nothing has happened.

I have contacted the 2nd highest legit bidder and offered to sell it to him if this "bot" doesn't reply by tomorrow.

Has anyone else had these weird 0 feedback new users bid on their stuff?

I'm assuming if they are actually bots, their motivation would be to get your paypal email/bank account details etc, but I'm not sure if it's a bot, or just someone that doesn't check their messages often.

What I find odd is they put the bid on in the last few seconds, so when I emailed them after it finished, they should have still been online ..

If it does turn out to be a bot, what should I do? Report as item not paid, and give the 2nd highest bidder a 2nd chance offer?

If the bid was in the last few seconds isn't that usually a snipe bot? So no one may have been online at the time then.
Are there really account details they get by winning that are useful for scams? I thought snipping is just to increase chances of winning an auction out from under other bidders by hiding your max bid (& intentions to bid at all) till the last sec.

Yeah, but usually if you're using a snipe bot, it's still a seller with a legit account.

I should have blocked 0 feedback bidders, but it went past me at the time.
 
When I decide to bid on an item I can get the bid in within
the last 2-3 seconds. It doesn't mean that I am a Bot.

You have 4 days for the buyer to pay then you can open a
"Non paying bidder" complaint through "Resolve a problem".
The buyer then has a few more days to send payment.

If the buyer does not send payment in the allotted time
you can Close the complaint and the buyer will get a
"Non paying Bidder" Strike against his account and you
get your Insertion fees and Final Value Fees back.

Three "NPB" strikes and his account is suspended.

I know you can easily get bids in the last few seconds, though the odd thing here is the last 2 bids were from 0 feedback users, with similar looking names.

They were probably bots, it's happened to me once, now I got some restrictions were 0 feedback users can't bid on my stuff & I've never had a problem since ;)
