DX Pen Issue - The one where only the IR part of the laser works

Does anybody know anything I can do to see if I can get this laser working, I tried putting a spring in the back, some foil in it, I soldered a new switch into it, All to no avail. Im thinking fried crystals, but I have NO Idea... Does anybody know if they'd be willing to repair it or something?

oh actually I worded the question wrong, what i really wanted to know was if I could somehow fit a new diode in it or something and run it at like 100mW+ or the equivaent of a burning laser

If the crystals are OK and the diode is dead, you could try, but I recommend you to forget about replacing the diode in a laser pen.

Buy a proper module from O-ike and find a proper host!

The crystals are fine. Your diode is dead.

The only other option is that the crystals came loose.

But those little pens have no where near the amount of pump power needed to put a good burn on a crystal.
