DX 200mw red = 655nm ?

I have not seen any goggles that shield this wavelength. will a 650 or slightly lower 6xx goggles work for this DX laser?
 





They are 650nm,anyway a pair of goggles for 650nm would act(or really close to)the same at 655nm.
 
Actually I think it's closer to 660nm, that's the wavelength at which most DVD diodes output. It won't make a difference, just get the goggles here and you should be good.
 
I've read somewhere that they were 650nm,then checked mine and it's marked as 655nm,anyway the goggles for 650nm,655nm and 660nm are all the same :P
 
yup either way, goggles for red lasers should cover all these wavelengths pretty well
 
Actually those diodes are rated at 650nm-670nm.I guess it depends on the diode, but also depends on the temperature running at.A diode will have a spectral width of a few mW.

I think yobresal did a spectral analisys on his dilda laser and got something like 662nm.
 
For real laser protective glasses, someone, somewhere did a spectral response on the lenses. You could request that graph and see where the OD falls for 650nm, 660nm and 670nm as most do not drop right off but some do. We offer some eye wear where the protection curve is almost vertical past a particular point.

Will the Wicked Laser Shades cover 662nm? I'm looking at the chart on the wicked lasers site and it seems to cut it pretty close.

I use the WL sport goggles in combination with a DX200 red myself. Although I never tested the OD value with a power meter (because I'd rather not shine it directly at my goggles, it'll deteriorate the protective dye), I can visually confirm it really darkens the dot.
