I was toying with my DX 200mw and I decided the focus was too loose and I wound the threads once with some teflon tape. The focus became much smoother and no longer shakes back and forth.

If anybody is annoyed by the loose lens, give this a shot! makes the laser feel very high quality.

Yeah, that's been proposed before, and I've been using that method on my own for a while. It does work pretty well.

On another note, I was (sadly) surprised to see the word "loose" used correctly (instead of mistakenly used for "lose").

any hardware or home improvement store with a plumbing section should have it. Sometimes it is called thread or pipe sealing tape. Its white, thin, stretchy and has slippery feel.

usually they are found in a blue or yellow and white donut shaped container.. costs about .99c a piece for something like a 10ft roll.
