Drones and the media

If you didn't see the video, basically a few men are drone flying in a park with a designated hobby aircraft field. Their copter crashes, but the gopro maintains video. The woman sees this of what must've been at least 100ft away, as it takes her quite a while to actually go see the drone and then steal it as discreet as possible. Little does she know that while she's trying to steal the drone, the gopro records virtually everything the woman says, all her extremely exaggerated lies. The police are called, and the drone is returned.

This is pathetic. It's people like this that are going to completely destroy the drone hobby, now I'm not involved in the drone community but I know for a fact that if the laser community was publicly viewed as antagonistic as drones are, we wouldn't be having much luck. I'll never understand societies hate for hobbies like this, there could be much much worse things that people could be doing. In fact having a hobby is beneficial and educational.

Now don't get me wrong I understand why there is hatred towards drones (spying, privacy issues etc.) but when in controlled environments like this where the boys did nothing wrong, there is no justifiable reason that the woman acted like this. Thoughts?

Some people feel as tho everyone should be as miserable as they are and will stop at nothing to make it happen.

The woman was just being a bitch for lack of a better description. She probably heard something scary about drones in the news and wanted to give people a hard time about them. Same as the idiots who hear about laser attacks on planes and then assume anybody with a high powered laser must be some kind of terrorist.

Closed-minded people hate hobbies like these because they don't understand them and see the hobby as an unnecessary risk to society. "It's dangerous and there's no real benefit" is the most frequent justification for banning things. What they fail to understand is that it's hobbies that get the children into scientific and engineering fields. Do they want a boring and bland society where the only thing to do is play online games?

People have no sense of decency and no conscious......almost took out her and her dog my azz, what is wrong with people.

Treat others as you would want them to treat you........is that concept really lost from modern American humanity?

What a miserable self centered hateful lying thief, she stole that drone and attempted to bear false witness, she may have lied to the police.

Recently in Utah, we had a man take his 5 year old daughter into the restroom with him and then another guy freaked out and sucker punched him over it. Societal control freaks are everywhere, and they'll give you hell if you don't conform to THEIR view of proper conduct. Personally I blame the media for pushing fear, hate and resentment24/7.
