Looks like DL just brought back the 30mW 589 Spartan. I was just about to go buy my 50mW unit today and saw they added the 30mW version.

Looks like the 50mW ones are guaranteed to be 50mW's?

Anyone? :)

Edit: WTF! 50mW of 589 is $529. Holy s*** Im getting the 30mW version.

That's odd. The 50mw went up in price by like $110. They were $420 when I bought one a few months ago.

Yeah! Hec, there were $419 a few hours ago, and now it's $529. Also, they are showing as "out of stock".....

Wow, that is crazy. I am ever more thankful for having such a nice example of the 50mW Spartan. That is a major price jump.
 
If I had to guess they've run out of 50mw spartans and are now selling the underspec 50's as 30's. What sucks about this all is I don't know if they'll even have a 50 to replace mine with now...

They'd better. You paid for a 50mW version so it would only make sense that you get a 50mW unit. If not, get your money back!

Mine hasn't gotten to them yet. If it does and they say they're out of 50's I'll probably just ask for my money back.

CNI supposedly isn't building them anymore, and the good ones are running out.

Really makes me worried about what I'll get when my replacement arrives next week.

Good thing I spent my cash to buy one now before only the 5mW units are left. Really sucks how all these are going out.

People, now may be your only chance to get a 589nm Spartan! :)

Yep. As long as this replacement has decent beam specs, I think I'm gonna hold on to it regardless of power.
 
yep cni ceased making pointer for quiet sometimes now. They only producing modules as of this moment.

Yeah, sucks! All I really needed was a 589nm from them(which is glad I snatched mine right now). All the rest can be bought from other sellers, like 532/473/405 etc...
