I finally received all items to pull this off. I did not think the heatsink would work, but it does. At 5 min intervals, while wearing glasses, it will light multiple fuses for 4 -July very quickly. So, using the 16340 Lithium battery works fine. Love to drive it higher, just seems like no purpose. Dorsy shown next to Jayrob 18650 Host with Cu Heatsink. Thanks to Jay and DAve !! Anyone make anything smaller?

my 445 build will be in the same dorcy too, just waiting the diode and lens.may i ask you what current the driver is set to?

Current set at 510-520mA using Dr. Lava V5. Works great! Probably has less time due to low battery mAh - 16340 (3.7v@1000mAh)

Aurora from Jayrob is running at about 550mA, putting out 510mW. Flex Drive V5, Standard Glass 405nm Axiz (whatever) lens. Uses 1 18650GR battery. Ih ave a Stainless steel version on it's way soon. Just to cap off the 445nm collection.

Thanks for the specs, which diode did you use? I have the same kit from Jayrob too using his CU heatshink and the microboost driver. I was wondering about using the Flex Drive V5 and any difference it would make; but went it seemed alot of people were going with boost driver so I went that way.

I bought this diode from our leader, dave. I think it was from a 130. I have had no problems with dr.lava's materials...That's what I used. where can I get other drivers? That are small and will fit in the pill?

Nice builds! :gj:

You asked if there is a smaller 445 kit?

Yes indeed! See here: (polished SS too!)
