For anyone wondering, what that guy is holding isn't the actual laser. It's just a remote head with optics and gas assist. The laser will be somewhere else, coupled to the head via fiber. The actual laser will be significantly larger.

Here's a portable fiber laser powered cutter/etcher, the actual power producing fiber is not very big.
A lot smaller than a big gas filled glass tube.
These will only get better and better.
