I know you don't coz you don't even own a laser :o and definately don't have goggles so i'm confused as to why this thread has been started :-?

I personally do not wear them, some may call me stupid, but I am pretty responsible with my lasers and am quite comfortable with working with them without using Goggles. The only laser that could really do me any damage is my pulsar, which I guess is pushing in excess of 150mw (due to it being able to pop a balloon from 1 foot away to 30 feet away, WITHOUT an external lens and WITHOUT having to alter the focus) :o

Yeah, but I had a laser in the past year, it was a 95mw Viper. I didn't even have goggles, I know I should have, but I used the money to get the next power level of laser. ;D

I know you had a 95mw and then you sold it for an MP3 player soon to be pissed off with... WHY???? :D
But you still continue with this very insignificant thread, about something you don't own ::)

I wear gargoyles when working with the NdYag - That's bad news. The CO2 is stopped by my glasses and I don't target close stuff with green or red.

I don't even have them, yet. I will most definetly get them when i get my nova lasers x-series 125mw!! I can't wait!!!

I usually make my kid wear them when we do videos - but unless it is right up close, I don't use them...my eyes are worthless without glasses anyways, so maybe I will accidently perform LASIK on myself, and be able to see better ! LOL Yeah - I DO wear them for cose up work though...for normal clowning around, I do not make a very good role model there !

do you really need goggles if u dont shine it in ur eye lol? i know its ALOT less powerful but i used to have a lil 5mw red one and shined it in my eye alot it didnt seem to bother me.. lol but with high powerd ones do u really need them just to look at the beam?

first of all dont wanna be like your father but shining a laser in your eyes even 5 mW can do permanent damge and anything over 50 mW i would suggest google almost for anything your doing. Because some surfaces will reflect the beam and can do very harmful damage.

I'm gonna be totally full up with goggles soon my NOVAlaser ones have been ordered and now i've just brought another set on the forum ;)

Well, now I do have a high power laser, a 240mw red. Even so, I don't have googles and don't plan on getting them, don't want to eat into the laser budget! :o

i own many for greens and ir, but they are never around when i play with my lasers! so the answer is an emphatic NO!

I think we are all guilty of this crime sometimes as when we get inspiration with a laser, the goggles are not to hand :P

With the deal I got, there is really no reason to NOT get em!  only 11 bucks including shipping!!  Just go to    http://www.scopestuff.com/ss_gla1.htm   I am still waitin for Senkat to give it the thumbs up, but I feel they make a tremendous difference, and didn't cost me 50 or more bucks!     Oh, and I got em seriusoly like 2 days after I ordered it.
