The problem is not the amount of reflected beam energy
going through the Laser Safety Goggles/Glasses.... it is
for how long a 1Watt focused beam takes to burn through
the lens by a direct hit...
Theatrical gel can reduce the energy of a 445nm reflected
Laser beam but at 1 Watt not long at all...
NO I don't condone using Theatrical gels for Laser Safety
Goggles/Glasses...

just to make shore i understand you guys/gals are saying i need glasses for the blue diode
not direct contact but just looking at the beam (not direct) it is recommended to use glasses
