Got the press yesterday and it works GREAT, I was shocked on how well he packed it. Check this out everyone, it was placed in a small plastic bag, then wrapped in bubble wrap, placed in a small box, and then a padded envelope. You would of thought he was shipping the Hope Diamond. I have access to a lathe and am interested in making one of these for my own use. (not to cut into your sales) I was wondering if you could post the dimensions you used since yours seems to be very effecient.

you can get your own dimensions by taking a few simple measurements... i dont think mr sing will tell you the specifics but i could be wrong...

p.s. do you make these out of anything but brass?

True, but the critical measurements are the depth of the end that pushes the diode farther than flush and the screw threading. Althuogh If I do have the die for the screw thread it will be easy enough to figure out...

the depth is not an issue. the diode will only go in so far... if you have a micrometer/caliper then get a diode and measure the thickness of the base. then measure the total depth of the diodes mounting hole. seem like pretty simple math to me..

Fair enough, I will figure it out.
Getting the depth of the mounting hole isn't so easy with calipers though, but I can get an approximate value.

it doesnt have to be a specific depth b/c like i said the diode will only go so far in anyway..
