Digital current controller...

I seem to recall a thread somewhere discussing a digital current controller with 16 bits precision or similar.....anyone know about this IC?

Actually, I recall now - it was a digital potentiometer that I was thinking of. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digipot One of these could be quite handy in a project.

Something like that needs sensors and drivers everywhere. I'd like to see you're circuit when finished.
