A neat effect using a ledshoppe 50mW and two standard diffraction gratings:

Nice! If you mount that crystal on on slow, say 1-2rpm motor, would make a awesome lasershow effect.

I have done this with a 3 rpm motor and RGV it's a very cool effect, and very simple to frabricate. check out my beam shot album theres a pic in there.
