On Feb, 26th I ordered a laser from Rayfoss, on their site it says my order has been in processing( for almost a week!). I wish I would have found this forum earlier. BTW, hi I'm John, first time poster long time lover of lasers. I know Chines sites take a while to ship but I'm starting to get nervous, am I about to get ripped off? Or will I recieve a product in the mail eventually? I am taking in consideration time difference and the fact that it was recently their new year. But just to set my mind at ease, will I more than likely...get ripped off, or recieve a product in the mail?

Thanks.

WOW....a whole 5 business days.....
Rayfoss has always come through with orders placed by members
including myself. I can't understand why people don't do a little
research about the companies they send $$$ to BEFORE they send
their payment...:undecided:

That being said....

Thanks for the reassurance. I did do quite a bit of research Before I bought from them. I know I'll get my laser eventually. It's a character flaw I have, if I don't get an immediate result in an action I take, I start thinking about all the what if's and freak myself out. Lasersbee, thanks for all the good info.

It isn't a flaw. We are culturally used to one thing, the Chinese do it differently. I have Amazon prime and I'm used to getting things in two days, so it is tough to get used to a different culture.

I live in Canada (not that much of a different culture) and have
learned that it takes 2-3 weeks to get something from the USA...
and about the same time from China...

Interesting. I wonder whose end that is?

I order from Amazon and get it in two days with prime. Without it, the delivery was usually 3-5 days.

2-3 weeks seems so 1980! :yh:

I got my meter from you in about a week I think...

They're moving to a new office I believe, So that may be the reason why.

You could try sending them an email also

It's all about customs. You can order stuff from BC to QC and it's there in 48 hours. NY to QC (which is about halfway in terms of distance) will usually be 5-7 business days... and anything from western or southern USA is a good 10 business days with USPS, regardless of service used...

The big difference with China, is they don't actually take 2-3 weeks before they ship; unlike DX, KD, Focal... etc

Yes, this was my point! Here in the "west" there is a culture of "hop to it!" that seems to be different when dealing with China.

Ok, just recieved an email from Faona saying my order shipped on the 2nd. She said it will probably take 15-18 days to ship. Sweet!!! Know I just hope it makes it through customs. I thought my laser was coming with goggles but I was mistaken. Whats a good place to get some good inexpensive goggles for 445-450nm? Or even a pair that covers a wider range seein that this will probably not be my last laser. Might get a green one next.

Eagle pair it is then. Don't want to go cheap and I really can't spend over $100 dollars for a pair. Thanks for the info.

Ok, goggles ordered from survival lasers...check...

Not to skew from the topic of lasers but I'm also a flashaholic. I noticed they have some flashlights with the Cree XML led. Anyone have one of these lights? $70 for 1000 lumens is not a bad price at all, to bad there not ANSI lumens. But if it even comes close to 1000 lumens with the XML and the light is built well it's worth it.
