Hey guys whats up,
I have had a 2 attempts at a burning red laser in the past one with a Sony diode from stonetek.com ( i forgot how to spell it) and then a 24x open can diode from the monk. Both failed on user error. The first Sony diode burnt out because i didn't use a driver it lasted about 2 days. The the 24x still puzzles me why it burnt out it might have been the voltage i was running at or my LM317 idk?
But long story short I need new laser all i have is a Aixiz 10mW 650nm that is over spec and is about 15 i am quite sure on but is a lot brighter than my 5mW. well thats pretty said all i got is a >10mW
I did order a 50mW 532 module from DX but from reading several other threads it seems that when it gets here i will be let down.
And finally we get to the question I need answered because I cant decide "Should I take the risk of making a new laser by buying all essential parts or should I order a new style dilda?"
Facts:
I only have around 80 dollars to spend.
I have several hosts and heat sinks.
I have heard the new style dilda is quite reliable.
I want a burner and yes I am going to buy safety goggles.
Well thats all I got any feed back would be appreciated.
