Dealextreme - constant payment failed

Hello guys,

I've tried buying couple of items from dealextreme.com and on the final step of checking out, it keeps saying my payment failed due to "Invalid Brand ID" (sends me an email too) and asks me to pay again. I've paid again, and it failed again. What the heck is going on? I googled this and other people have also come across this problem, with their credit card even being charged but DX saying payment failed.

I smell something very fishy. Have any of you guys dealt with DX before?

Regards,
Ryan

Hmm interesting...

I tried buying a host from them last week or so, and it kept on trying to tack on the super expensive express shipping option, even after it said that shipping was free. I just never completed the order. I don't know. Maybe something's up with their website?

Re: Dealextreme - constant payment failed & sketchy dealings?

Man, I really hate these Chinese online stores. Why they got to be so sketchy? Ugh.. you can never tell the legit ones from the cons because they're all so similar.

Screw it. I'll pay 3x the price and buy from lighthound. *still wishes for a electronic Chinese sweatshop to open in town* hah

EDIT: woah, currently reading the forums, and tons of people are unhappy. Shipping is supposed to be 7-14 days with air mail as stated here. But many people are waiting over a month, some even over 3 months. lol?
Here... and here (apparently the package is lost. lol?)... Here... here, people aren't even getting their money back after refund request... There are so many more, and these threads are all just within the last 2-3 weeks.

Sounds like a huge ponzi scheme.

DealExtreme is a well known Asian site for cheap crap...
I've bought from them in the past. I have never been
ripped off financially but I have needed to wait between
1 and 4 months for my orders to show up.

They are a drop shipper and stock nothing...
They take your order payment then order the items from
numerous suppliers and when ALL the parts are
in their hands they ship the order...

I don't believe it has anything to do with a Ponzi Scheme...
