I have purchased 2 18350 batteries from dx, and after 20 days, I still have not received them. I used the regular free shipping without tracking and my order number is 131122001035874583. Does anyone know how much longer I will have to wait?

Thanks

I would get in touch with them(by email/phone etc..) and see what is taking so long.

Maybe it is still on the way and you could receiving it tomorrow, but better be sure everything is flying smoothly.

Wait another 2 weeks and if needed open a paypal dispute on day 40. 4-6 week shipping from them is pretty normal.

I've had to wait up to two months before for a DX item to arrived. :D Three weeks is like a minimum time I would expect from DX. :p

I've been lucky to have my stuff come within 2 weeks, but you can expect anywhere from a week to a couple months. Not enjoyable, but then again, china isn't usually known for their quality...

You are also ordering Li-Ion batteries which have been STOPPED from leaving china. Idk why no one has read the numerous posts about batteries not being able to ship from china anymore unless its via express or registered mail WHILE inside a device.

Ill post this larger as a warning to everyone, not just the OP

DO NOT BUY BATTERIES FROM CHINA ANY MORE. 99% CHANCE THEY WILL NOT ARRIVE AND THE SELLER WILL NOT INFORM YOU THAT YOUR ORDER WAS RETURNED TO THEM. DUE TO THE MANY INCIDENTS CAUSED BY LI-ION BATTERIES, CHINA HAS STOPPED THE SHIPPING OF ALL BATTERIES UNLESS THEY ARE PROPERLY SECURED INSIDE A DEVICE; I.E. FLASHLIGHT, ETC.....

FT will ship your batteries inside a flashlight if you order one with your order BUT you need to add a note for them to insert the batteries in your flashlight or they wont. I bought 2x 3400 panny from BG and they had to use registered mail in an around the world fashion to get the batteries to me. I dont think this method works anymore and in the process they were sent to Sweden and Germany.

PAY THE EXTRA FEW $$ and buy within the country you live in, dont risk it anymore.

EDIT: look at it this way, the Boeing 787 is/was a disaster due to its Li-Ion batteries so how do you think a smaller Li-Ion battery is safer to travel in an airplane? Its not, Li-Ion batteries are dangerous to transport and if not handled properly will explode/catch fire. This is also why we dont recommend cheap ultrafire or no name batteries.....its just not worth it

Well, I guess I just wasted $6 then... I might buy some other batteries :( Dx said that if it gets sent back to them the will find another shipping method and ship it again though.

Its not a lost cause, there still is a small chance that it slipped through screening on the way out.......also if you spent $3/battery then they cant be good cells so if they don't make it, its probably a favor in disguise ;) Do yourself a favor and buy some quality 18350/16340 cells; Nitecore, AW and EFest are good 16340/18350 cells and will run you $4-10 a cell but its worth it

Thanks for your help!
:thanks:

if you want cheap cells from ebay and live in the US, i would buy from this guy. Sure, they are cheap batteries just like the china type- but they are cheap and you will actually get them hehehe (and when i say cheap, i mean it- he has 6x 18650 for 8$...). I ordered 2x26650's from him, and they came in 4 business days, and they work great.

But certainly get some AW or nitecore cells if you can, worth the extra money.

I cringe every time i see people buying ultrafire, tangfire, crapfire, causefires, etc......Its a few bucks more for something of quality and people think saving $10 total on batteries will make or break them; well it could break them but they are to blind to see it. I gave my dad a C8 flashlight and I bought him Sanyo cells since i could never give my dad crapfires nor would i ever buy them myself. All i own is Sanyo and Panasonic 3400s (which are my primary cells). Plus when you buy cells in bulk (4+) its really not that much more for quality. I got 20 Sanyo 18650 cells for $15 shipped earlier this year and i WISH, freakin wish, i bought more. I regret not getting 100+ at that price! You cant even get a crapfire for under a buck shipped! Now you can get the same Sanyos for like $15 shipped for 4x.

Trust me, the next batteries im buying will be legit. Not crapfire. I just wanted to be able to use the monster of a flashlight i got for free :D

Trustfire makes quality 26650's. Thats what i used in it ;)

Just make sure its the Trustfire "flames" its black with purple and silver flames

I just emailed banggood about this matter and they responded very shortly saying

Bangood said:
Because transportation would be more rigorous about battery, we will choose the safest transport to ship it. Do not worry it too much. By the way, due to bad weather or strict customs clearance, it may take 7-25 business days to arrive in your country.*

Maybe the batteries will be confiscated but I've taken the plunge and ordered six panasonics with the coupon code livinloud posted.
One positive though is that I ordered a pair of TF 26650's from FT and they arrived three weeks later.

To the OP: I have ordered from DX before and my package took over 5 weeks to arrive, my package did not even contain batteries.

*slightly modified for brevity

BG is the only place I know tgat has found a way around the system but they have to send your package all over the qorld and redirect it.....mine is talked about above and took 4 or 5 weeks even though I had to select registered 2 week shipping
