Dazzler vs Conventional hand held lasers?

I'm thinking along the lines of

Non-lethal Dazzler Laser, 300-1000mW 532nm

and the

PLE Pro 532 laser.

Both from JetLasers

i have/had both if yours was also stun. IIRC that one had a 520 diode laser--sold it to Bowtieguy .jeff.

The one in the link is sold and it was a Yama--more features.stun etc

afaik - the beam is enlarged optically-- So I thought?--how diff from a laser with awful beam.. or with a lens you add.

afaik an out-of-focus beam expander (JL sells) throws a big spot.

some may be thinking these are less 'illegal' than the other... im no legal expert... so... I know of 4 members who had to deal with FDA etc.
over US to US lasers sent- I had iirc 35 pointers (532 pens) seized by Customs San Fran.. later they kept some and sent the rest reason was >5mW-- btw all the returned ones were 10+mW.. go figure..
