Cymatics

This is pretty cool, only ever played around with the lower frequencies with water and stuff. Using the higher freqs to make those patterns is something I've never seen before. Really cool!

Kinda reminds me of the animusic stuff from the last decade. This is much cooler because it's real not animated.

That's an OUTSTANDING find!! +Rep for you!

Everything responds to sound waves....everything.

(edit - Also, something to take note of with Cymatics is how, as the frequency gets higher, the complexity of (or amount of information contained in) the interference patterns increases. I always found it fascinating!)

Excellent video, thanks for sharing this! The water's response when coming out of that tube is fascinating. :yh:

+Rep!

Neat! although, I couldn't tell if the water was going in a helical shape or just a 2D sine wave shape?

I wonder how the sand patterns would react if you put a hole in the Chladni plate (the plate with sand on it).
Interesting stuff.

Very cool video indeed, got shared by some of my physics buddies too :)

I remember playing with my dads speaker and oobleck. Got quite some nice shapes before I blew the thing! =D (Don't worry, it was an old speaker)

I remember when this guy asked us Tesla Coilers for a coil on loan for his performance. I would have loved to partiticipate but didn't have the means or time. Glad to see it turned out so nicely.
