Ermmmm. If you have a turbo.... You should know how many psi your pushing with a gauge or at least a turbo timer.....

Well im not sure. I should of made this clear. But I meant its getting installed. My cars at my friends house, hes installing it and doing some maintenance. He is good with cars :). He owns a Evo.

You sound like you are a High-schooler with too much money. You need to be able to do maintenance. How hard is that anyway? Lol I did oil changes when I was 13 for my dad. Once I got my own car, I did a Auto to Manual Tranny Swap.

And you will need to maintain your turbo parts, your BOV can go bad, so can waste gate. And just because someone has an Evo, doesn't mean he is good. Evo's come turbo'ed stock, and are prone to failures. Maybe why he is good at maintenance. Hahhah.

I just have a personal tick to people that throw money at someone to do their work when they don't know how to do it themselves. I bet you could have saved a lot of money doing it yourself. Especially if it was a kit. It's called a bolt on because it bolts on.

A little bit of reading will help you greatly and save headache.

I usually do everything my self for maintenance. I never ever go to a mechanic because i don't want to get my hands dirty. My grandfather left me enough money to buy my car. And wow you did that right when you bought your car lol. And thanks for the link im checking it out now. Can't wait, my car will look sick with vertical doors. Until i keep hitting my head on it.

X3 on the boost gauge and maintenance. The only way to learn is to do it. :)

Lambo doors are really awesome looking.....if it's a fun car to drive for leisure. They are a pain in the butt for a daily driver. They open only enough to squeeze in without lifting, they suck to get into when it's raining, and yes, you hit your head ;) They do look SICK, though.

Don't get me wrong, I have always compromised comfort for style. Big rims, low profiles, slammed to the ground (car), massive tires, huge lift, rough ride (jeep), Stretched frame, slammed, wide tire (show bike), etc. :D So, I understand where you're coming from.

Have fun building your car, and gaining experience while doing it. It's an awesome hobby! :san:

". I never ever go to a mechanic because i don't want to get my hands dirty." Contradiction? Lol

Haha ya I meant I never go to the mechanic just because I'm afraid to get my hands dirty. Its a really fun hobby.

See, you should take all the money you are putting in this, and buy a Supra with it.

For me it all depends on how hard the job is and whether I have the proper tools/equipment to do the work.

On my car I paid to have the headers installed because I don't have access to a car lift and it was a really hard job that required removing the K-member. On the other hand I've installed aftermarket HID's, changed the sparkplugs and done other routine maintenance myself.

Ooo... No offense, but what is your ambition in upgrading that?
Extra power+it sounds awesome. 300+HP V8=always good. Anyway headers can be easy, but that's generally if you're putting them on a truck or something with lots of room in the engine compartment. I've installed them on a few older cars, but I didn't want anything to do with putting them on the lincoln.

Its funny how this thread transverses.

The downside of headers on a V8 is that they fry your starter.
