Could a DDL driver supply a 2.5A current?






The current ratings of a switch vary depending on if AC or DC is being switched. A switch rated 3A on AC may only be rated for 0.5A DC continuous. This is why some lasers use a switch to contol a MOSFET that does the power switching.

I've had cheap (DX) switches melt on me ...
 
I just realized that I suck at this whole soldering in parallel vs series on a PCB that isnt already set up for series or parallel...
