Contact Lenses Protect the Eye from lasers??

is there like a big safety poster that we could make people look at before they register or something? theese things are f-cking dangerous and quite a few people in the world seem to think that they aren't. people on this forum for the most part seem to be safe.
but i've met some people who aren't
GOGGLES COST LESS THEN MOST OF THESE LASERS YOU PEOPLE BUY.
also, the brain fills in missing information. MEANING ALL YOU PEOPLE WHO TOOK DIRECT HITS, MIGHT NOT BE OK. so if your life involves getting hit in the eye with 100mw lasers, maybe you should fix that.

and you wonder why pointers >5mw are illegal in the us.
WTF is Wrong with people not being careful?

I agree to that shock-poster idea.. do you feel like collecting some pics for that?
we could have newbies answer one out of a few questions, with the answer in a short text explaining the poster. signing up would need the correct answer.

but then.. people see enough without signing up. but better than nothing, huh?
oh, and the endless airplane-problem could be in that poster too!

yeah i like the multiple choice. remember carol never wore her safety goggles?
we could do a solid black square that said "this is what you see for the rest of you'e life after as few as one laser accident" an a jail for airplanes,etc.
and then a picture of a laser and a gun and text between them that said "this is as dangerous as this.
you know what i'll make a mockup. EDIT: made it.

nice, yeah. instead of the all-black pic i would insert a pic of damaged retina, and perhaps how the world looks like . i still couldnt find the thread where someone photoshopped how he sees, looking at a newspaper and alarmclock.
