maybe  ;D

right now i am going to stop sales......stupid aixiz put my blank module on back order.....i need to catch up anyways....
Oh ok. Well in that case... I'll just order my blu-ray kit right now. :)

i'll be able to test it once USPS gets their shit together......they sent my laserbee I all the way across the country to the wrong city (to a city with a zip code 1 number different than a city 20 miles from me)

....hopefully they realise this mistake soon and reroute it back to me....and i can test for myself and see.....

Wait, when you said you are stopping sales did you mean the 10% sale or you're stopping sales altogether? Maybe I should have asked this before I bought one last night...

i was just stopping the 10% sale.

stupid aixiz had my blank modules on back order....so i'm waiting on those.

...i'll have around 20 hosts available once i finish the orders that have already been made...once those ordered are done i will prob sell of the last 20 lasers for around $60 shipped........and then i won't be making anymore coleman lasers.....by then i should have the custom hosts ready.....

and for the last two days in a row i've gotten a package from china! and both were just containing switches (which is good cause now i can put the machinist to work building some hosts since he can take measurements now)

i wish my green module would get here!!!

on a plus note though, i DID get the laserbee I yesterday, so primary.sequence i'll build your laser and measure it, print off a chart for you and have yours in the mail within a day or two.

Did you already send out my BR laser? I can't trust the USPS tracking site, they are usually way off

pm the name you bought it under and i can tell you.

great to hear,
just to double check, my address should be the one that starts with 7260,
instead of a PO box (that was the old residence which i've moved out from)

Mohrenberg;

On my PHR BR, the Aixiz glass lens outperformed the Aixiz plastic lens just slightly.

The Aixiz plastic lenses vary quite a bit from my testing (about ~ 74% transmission)
Any glass AR coated short FL lens may outperform it.

I'm really curious about this...

I have measured a significant 7% less with AixiZ glass vs AixiZ acrylic (back opened) for blu-ray.

Is the back opened on your AixiZ acrylic that you are comparing with AixiZ glass?
Jay

i got a slight increase with aixiz glass vs acrylic with closed back.....
i guess if the back is closed then glass is better.....

I figure that Larry has to be talking about AixiZ acrylic with the back still closed...

I didn't know anybody uses the AixiZ acrylic with the back still closed. Unless it is with a lower powered build or something maybe.

I remember when I first came to LPF, I read that if you don't open the back, that the plastic will begin to melt even with the Sony/Senkat reds at 250mAs'. So I never have used an AixiZ acrylic lens with out opening the back. All of my comparisons with other lenses vs AixiZ acrylic, are with the back opened. (as I have noted in my list of comparisons) http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1239845687/0

I think that people should make a note of whether they are talking about the back opened or not. Otherwise the information could be misleading.

yeah the back will actually start to melt around the opening of the back of the lens.......
i've only cut the back off once or twice...most of the time i jsut leave it how it is.

does opening the back affect the output ?
if not, sounds like the back should be opened if using acrylic lens?

i just tested a phr diode

with closed back 86mW
with back cut open 106mW

makes a difference......

cool, moh,
you should do that to your future builds then, that should bump your lasers up a notch
you can try that on mine ::)
