Ar/Kr ion is just so much easier for white light.

Nah, you are right. I suppose they are crazy expencive. I don´t like things that I do not understand either^^
 
And a mixed gas ar/kr is (I'm assuming) MUUUUCHCHHHCHHCHCHCHH cheaper than one of those fiber continuum lasers!! White beam from a gas laser.... mmmmm.... love it.
 
No doubt. But I have yet to see a whitelight laser in person. Same with an argon, a krypton, 473, 593.5 etc.. :'(
Why do they have to be so expencive, anyway? Egoist manufacturers ;D

But if I were an important lab, I´d get one of those beautys. I think they happen to be very useful for researching...
