Coleman led host question

anyone ever used this Coleman led as a host before? was wanting to see if i cuuld get a custom heat sink made for it.

Never seen that one used, though the Coleman MAX CR2/AA hosts get used a lot.

I have that light but I dont think it would be easy to make a laser out of it. There is some pretty interesting construction in there. If you unscrew the tail clicky you will find that the battery holder is connected to the switch and all of the LED components are glued up inside. The body and head of the host are all one solid piece. You could do it but you would have to put a set screw into the host to hold the heatsink in place.

mine all comes apart fairly easy except for the reflector which is glued in.
