Cold weather and Green Laser

I have the hulk 250 mW green laser from dragon lasers. When I first turn it on its dim the becomes bright after a few seconds. Would cold weather cause this to happen?

It could be. DPSS lasers, including green lasers, are very temperature sensitive. They wont output their max power unless the crystals reach a certain temperature. Your situation is normal. It takes some time for the laser to warm up.

try pre-warming the unit from body heat and see if it fires up full or near full. Then you will know for sure.
