Coherent LabMax-TOP

Well I've been waiting now for 3 weeks, yes that's correct 3 whole weeks, seems the new LabMax series Laser Meter is so popular that Coherent has a back log of orders to fill (no C24 on these babies); must be a nice problem to have. But they did tell me this when I originally placed the order though, so I really have nothing to complain about.

As they promised and committed to a ship date of July 22nd, I first got a call from my account salesman confirming it was shipping out (yesterday 7/22).

Since I specified FedEx Overnight service I was told it would be in my hands today. Yep even using FedEx Overnight shipping doesn't speed-up the manufacturing of these meters when there is a backlog.

Anyhow late yesterday afternoon I received an email from my Coherent Salesman which contained my FedEx tracking number, and low and behold the FedEx guy was ringing my doorbell around 10am this morning. I had a busy day planned and couldn't do much with it, and there is also a sticker in the packaging that says to charge the batteries at-least 16 hours before use. So I finally turned it on brief enough to get a picture of it and then turned it back off to finish the charge; I will work with it over the weekend for sure.

Mind me asking what sort of work you do (i'm gonna assume it has some relation to lasers?) in the field of lasers?
