CO2 Power Supply Schematic Help

Ya, winding your own primary is a lot easier for fixed supplies or achieving a certain power level or output voltage. Plus not everyone has an LCR meter to find the primary pinout. The catch is lower coupling and you have to find a suitable core.
 





Pump the flyback into the nst then voltage double it using the 2200pf caps

Pretty sure that I mentioned that I am a novice with circuits which is whole reason I posted this thread.

You don't need to go around and post images on threads I posted on making fun of my ignorance then neg repping me. As your sig states, I asked for a help on a problem explaining my problem fully and got help from you guys the learn the other half.

Tbh I'm not trying to throw out random big words. In this thread I didn't think of what The core of the nst was made of at the time an therefore did not recognize that I was putting in many kilo hertz into an iron core. For the 5mw thread I put my reasons down. For the shock thread I am pretty sure I know when I get shocked.

Just saying.

Unrectified nst worked to ignite the tube however as soon as I pump water through the water distorts/absorbs the beam before it exits the end. Any of you guys have this problem? If so how did you fix it?

nice , there should be no water in the beam path , if there is then there is something rather wrong with the tube ?

When you pump water though the tube dose the discharge remain ignited , is there water anywhere other than the jacket it should be in , plus the OC and HR if the tube has that cooling on too
 
Yep sounds like something's wrong with the mirror cooling jacket. Pictures (clear, good lighting, in focus, against a dark background) please!

would be have you been running it without
water?

Yes although only for a few seconds just to do tests. It is also probably not outputting full power due to the lower voltage.

I will try to get some pictures up later a I am up and about right now.

The water isn't obscuring it! You have NO BORE DISCHARGE!

It looks like the bore may be severed/ruptured and you're getting discharge through the gas reservior. That's why there's no output.

Where did you get this tube?

edit: it could also be discharging through the cooling jacket and into the gas reservoir, rather than through a ruptured bore, but this is unlikely. Disconnect the water, blow it dry with air (low pressure), and do a quick <10sec test to see if it runs better. Let it cool for 5 min before another test. Take a photo on one of the two tests if you can be sure not to run it longer than 10sec.

Without water it lases.

Only had it on for around 8 seconds for the first test and 5 for the second

Sorry for the misconception about the water earlier I was referring to the water possibly interfering within. Not meaning the cooling jacket covers the oc. :D

Hmm, that's still a very abnormal discharge pattern. It should be ONLY in the bore, not in the reservoir at all. Still looks like a damaged tube.

Perhaps your cooling water is too ionic and acting as a resistive shunt, pulling the discharge away from the center of the bore (highest resistance) and only allowing it near the electrodes (least resistance). You could try using deionized water or distilled water instead of tap, but even so that doesn't explain the discharge in the reservoir.
