Re: Looking for: projector (or parts)

I have a Laserworld CS400 RGB I would be willing to part with on the cheap. It is in great working condition. I got it off a member her on LPF. It did require some alignment, but I got that all sorted. it does not have USB, however you can get an iShow USB DAC for ~$60 with software. Its not the best software, but it does the job, and is very useful after you learn it.

What are you looking to spend?

Re: Looking for: projector (or parts)

I was looking for something roughly comparable to this in specs/price, though this one supports SD card but not USB which is why I'm looking into other options.

Mini DIY Programmable RGB Animation Stage laser light [OL-RGB-L]

CR-07 Mini RGB color-mixed programmable animation laser projector | eBay

Do you happen to have an iShow for sale or know where one can be had for that price?

Look HERE for ishow @ $68

You would be much happier with ILDA than the SD card thing, as it is pretty limited from what I understand.

EDIT: BTW, I may be willing to let the CS400 RGB go along with the iShow DAC

Re: Looking for: projector (or parts)

Thanks for the link :) Do you happen to have a spec sheet for the CS400? I couldn't find much in depth info on google, I'm assuming it's TTL and not analog. The only thing I was able to find is that it uses 20kpps "fast galvo system for well projection quality". :p

Do you have an asking price (with or without the iShow)? I know you mentioned you got it from another member, any idea on how many hours it has on it?

:thanks:

BTW, the blue is 473nm DPSS!!!! <--Nice!!

Laserworld CS-400RGB

-- 473nm DPSS, 532nm DPSS, 650nm direct diode.

* Output power: 350mW; typical: 400mW RGB
* Lasers: TEC cooled laser diodes, >60mW 532 nm green, >40mW 473nm blue, >150mW 650nm red
* Beam properties : 3mm/1mrad
* Scanner system: fast galvo system for well projection quality
* Deflection angle: max. 40° optical
* Scanspeed: max. 20.000pps
* Control mode: ILDA, DMX 512, Live Play @ Music (sound controlled programmes)
* DMX 512: 12 channels
* Basic patterns: 128 (layers, tunnels, fences, animations, graphics, fonts...)
* Effects: more than 50.000 different laser effects
* Laser Safety: compliance to IEC 60825-1
* accessories: power cable, mountings, manual
* power supply: 110~240V AC
* power consumtion: 120W
* meassurements: 300 x 500 x 150 mm (L x W x H)
* weight: 7 kg

I metered the lasers and the blue it at around 50mw, green at about 58-60 depending on temp, and red is about 145mw.

Color representation is good, and pretty accurate.

It is TTL modulation,so really only 7 colors can be produced. You could modify it with analog drivers in the future if you want, I was planning on it myself.

I will get pics of it and post them later tonight or tomorrow.

The enclosure on this one is very heavy duty, unlike most. The entire enclosure other than the top cover plate is made of 6mm aluminum, most others use sheet aluminum instead of plate. Its a pretty heavy unit and built like a tank.
