So it seems that I have further refined my laser pen hunt (with much help from the community) :)
I've now lowered to +750mW.

Looking for a 405nm +750mW handheld laser
Adjustable focusing lens would also be great!

Post asking price!

Re: WTB 1W+ 405nm

Unless you find a real freak diode, you're probably not going to find a 405nm doing 1W. Mine is pushed to 750mW and I think that's really probably pretty close to its limit.

^^^Yup, >800mW 405nm lasers are rare. Even if you look at companies actually selling them, they all really stick to ~400mW although o-like can push to 500mW.

Re: WTB 1W+ 405nm

considering I would love to have one as well, I think it's interesting that they don't make them somewhat more accessible. Perhaps in a couple of years they will be more available.

I see what look like scams at DHgate, but I've also heard in Thailand there's high end diodes all over the place. Of course, I've never been to Thailand, so that could be nonsense.

Still, If a bundle of ~405nm 1000mw+ diodes become available though, sign me up.

What they have in thailand is more direct access to the factories... don't get too excited though, because 99.9% of those high end diodes are in reality cheap dpss greens. You can get 100mW+ pens for <$10 in bulk though locally.

My info is a little dated though.

Thanks for all the info!

I've lowered my expectations to 750+ mW.
Although I'd still take >1W :)

Do an advanced edit, and change the milliwattage in the title too. I think that'l help make it easier to find a seller.

Re: WTB +750mW 405nm

Look at this chart to see what these 12x's are capable of.
You should have no problem finding a builder here on LPF.

Re: WTB +750mW 405nm

after looking at those charts I must concur, I would also be satisfied with a 750-900mw variant. But how much does something like that cost, and how do you get people interested in making one?

You could probably buy 700mw of 405 for about $175

Re: WTB +750mW 405nm

@shintashi ...... Fenzir is correct. Nowadays the 12x's are a lot cheaper.
Less than two years ago you would have to spend ~$400 for what your looking for.
Browse through the "Pro Shop" and the "Trades, Feedback and Resolution" sections. Read whats going on.
Also check out the "Reviews" sections. Before long you will see who is making what.
If it's a blu-ray your interested in, I suggest you read the hell out of the "Blu-ray and Violet Lasers" section.

Re: WTB +750mW 405nm

^^ Yes you can post in their thread or just PM them.
You can order parts from one person and have them sent to someone else for assembly.
You can even do it yourself. There are plenty of kits that involve only simple assembly to complete.
