Hey Dave, whats the burning range on that Scorpius D?
Pete
I'm not much of a "burner." You will need some after market lens to focus the beam anyway.
Peace,
dave
what kind of batteries does the dorcy host use?
Yea, I bought 2 of the phr diodes off of daguin and i just tried the second one and it is probably the weakest one that i have had. Even running them at the same current, the second one will barely light a match. Maybe i just dont have it fully seated in the aixiz module. I do notice that it does not want to focus to as sharp of a point as the first one. I will work on it later.
About the Co2 laser....
It's more or less ~32 Volts to the RF pre-amp,
and then air cooling to the head?
Mike mentioned something about a PWM driver.... not too sure what that is.
Some kind of amp? I might ask Mike if you're not too sure yourself. The Co2 tube is still a good deal. I'm still thinking about it.
Thanks Dave,
-Tyler
Try swapping the lenses. One of them may have a problem. Some other possibilities; something on the diode window, a cracked diode window, the diode not set "square" in the module, diode not set deeply enough in the module.
Diodes will vary for IP/OP, but focus problems are usually from an exterior variable.
Peace,
dave
I think the problem is that i did not get the diode pressed all the way in the aixiz module. I will take the diode off the driver and see if i can get it pressed in alittle more. I have 5 different aixiz lenses and they all seem the same. Plus, i found a problem with one of my rkcstr drivers. I can set it at 100mA and i can watch my DMM and watch it jump from around 90mA up to 120mA. It just keeps going up and down on its own. I think the pot is no good. The only reason i noticed it was because when i would turn the laser on, i could see the diode pulsing.
