would someone looking at the beam from the side in pure night, with the beam pointed at the sky face eye injury? I apologize if this is a bad place to ask this, but i read this whole topic and was intrigued

Your question was not terribly worded. There was just a lack of variables but I understood what you meant.
 
I haven't experienced the power of a 1W+ 445nm laser ever so I'm curious how bright they are to the naked eye.
 
Well, pictures in peoples' threads are actually a fairly good aproximation of a brightness of high power 445nm lasers.

Well ofcourse, ones that are taken by some normal exposure showing a beam, not over-exposed plasma blades.
