Hi,

i have bought this driver (3A TTL Laser Driver Board Step Down Driver Module 405nm 445nm 450nm | eBay)

I tried to adjust the values, but with a testload (4*1N4001 + 1Ohm 5W ~> M140 LD) i got this.

look the attachements

the measured current has a peak over the adjusted value.

at lpf3.jpg u can see the differenz between measurement methods. Above is simple the voltage over the diode, below measurement is the ld current.

who knows about this driver ?

greetings

Yeah, that's garbage. They've got no business calling that a laser driver. I'd get a refund if I were you.

I concur, however you may want to test it out at the advertised 3 Amps instead of the 0.8 Amps and see if it still has the spike. Maybe its only meant to be ran at exactly 3.0 Amps

thanks for answers ...

i need this driver with 0,5A LD current ...
but adjusted 1.2A will show a peek 1.9A ...

that's garbage ... ok

I have had many people say they have lost multiple diodes on that driver. I think they just keep recycling LED drivers calling them laser drivers as they are in mass production and very cheap.

The china one. This. Or vairants of this like the one you linked to.
