Well im in the middle of a similar build with an obscure host. I followed a lot of the links you posted which was very helpful for a first build. I also love you avartar. Is that your cat? I actually show it to people

Thanks for the rep :) its impossible to fit it better because its too large, when I tried to screw it more I shorted the diode's pins.
 
Yeah, I understand. Hate making pins really short on diodes to get that tiny bit of extra room when the driver wants to hit the end of the module. Always edgy about spinning the driver and potentially ruining the diode pins. Can get just a bit more room by setting the driver at an angle.
 
Yes, I hate making them too short too, but the final laser worths that :)
