Define bright? Any preference on wavelength? Size? Host style? My definition is likely to be very different from yours when it comes to lasers.

You can pick up 1W 445s for around that price. Of course, you can also pick up a cheap 532nm pointer for <$10 that is potentially just as bright as a 1W 445 if you happen to get one that'll hit 100mW.

Do you have proper laser safety glasses?

Powerful compared to what?

Cheap and powerful are mutually exclusive---"you get what you pay for"- usually is the case.

There are a lot of nice bright lasers for $60 or less--powerful is another story

I do have safety glasses. I have no preference, just the brightest laser for the price.

I don't really need a powerful laser. I bought a 1w 445(or 450) already.

Look on eBay for some 303 532nm lasers. They can be had for ~$8.00 and put out ~80 mW of power. It is pretty bright. You can see the beam in dimly lit rooms quite easily. For that price, you can pick up a few from different sellers and see which you like the best. They run on a single 18650 Li-ion battery.

https://www.sanwulasers.org/product/304green (532nm 100mW or 650mW 200mW) Great quality laser just in a 303 host. :)
Don't believe they are of better quality. Iv'e seen member Alien Laser post a thread where he runs a 532nm 303 for 2 hours straight with no issue.
I think they are metered and binned. Knowing that you get the stated output is what makes it a good choice:)

That one is double the price of the 303 532nm ones on eBay that typically output 80 mW. If you get a 100 mW, you won't see the difference.

The problem is eBay sellers never post the actual power of the laser. I'll decide later.

In my experience, up to 25% of the output of those pointers is infrared :(

Yes Idrago, considering the extra output can be 20mw or more of IR, I would go for 2 or more of Paul's links..
Your obviously going to get another laser or two and extra battery's and charger's for less the price of Sanwu. "This isn't a knock on Sanwu":)
This has been bought up on the forum plenty;) and everyone seems to agree.

My experience with these lasers is it is more like 20% IR, but who cares? It isn't like the IR is going to follow a different path than the green light and hurt you. The only difference I see in getting a Sanwu over the links I gave you is price. You can pay more than double for the same thing, or not.

I don’t think a better 532 nm deal can be had than those eight dollar ebay pointers, but get three, one might be better than the others. I’ve seen 20 percent IR too.
