Thanks! Yeah, it's really a neat little pointer to have. Their 532's are waaaaay overpriced though. I wouldn't tell anyone to buy from there at those prices

Nice find! I went ahead and checked out the "LightVision Technologies" website and they also have this pointer listed. They seem to sell a couple laser pointers, along with some OEM lasers. :yh:

Thanks paul! I agree. It's a neat little 405 pointer. Even though hard to see during the daytime, I don't need to worry about shinning it across my house or outside.
Once I have enough funds in the faaaaaar future, I may pick myself a 589 pointer too. I'm just worried it'd look too similar to my 594, ya know?

Yeah, that could be a problem, Alex. I'd try for 577nm as it is a beautiful lemon yellow. Not a trace of orange in it that I could see. I don't know that you could get it in a pointer though.

Dr. Laser got CNI to make a GLP for him, but the price is what scares me. You're looking at the price of a 577 lab unit, like the $2,000+ ballpark.

Yeah, that's high. But, not nearly as high as the lab units. Those are astronomical.

Looking at that seller's website, they have a few similar hosts to laserBTB. Several exotic wavelengths and power levels that aren't listed on Aliexpress are on there. Kinda wonder what the manufacturer direct price would be.
Edit: There are some DL and CNI hosts too. I wonder if it's a supplier or reseller.

Maybe email them and ask about prices for one you are interested in. Ask them about their 473nm and 589 nm pointers/pens --would be interesting to see what they charge for them
Had a look also---they seem to have or be able to supply a lot of different products----the company details on Alibaba says: Trading Company and no. of employees: 3-5 --they aren't making all the items they promote with 3 to 5 people --that is for sure see: https://lasercentury.en.alibaba.com/company_profile.html?spm=a2700.8304367.coowfd0405.3.73152c548eWHwI But who knows maytbe the have a manufacturing arm different from the trading co. Is a typical Chinese trading company business selling everyone's everything it seems, however.
I think the high quality host pens are made in Taiwan by the company that Hap mentioned was on the label LightVision Technologies see: Green Laser Pointer, Laser Module, Laser Presenter (APC) -- LightVision Technologies, Corp. They have been around since 2000 and established customers early on and those companies still buy and resell them--established products line of them. So they really are laser pens from times past when there were no low cost mass produced pens. Much smaler market today but still made for those who want them.
There are several sellers if you google "laser pen with APC"

Roithner in Germany sells them too.
They all seem to target a smaller market selling the pens among other higher priced laser products or for professional presentation purposes due to the higher cost from the maker and high resale prices they need to get. Makes good sense --offer a high quality pen also for those who want one.
