Thats the first think I tried :) didn't seem to change a thing... could It be on the diode? I'm not even sure how to get to it... x_x

Well you do have 3 lens you want to check, the one on the top of the lens module, on the bottom of that guy, and there is also a lens on top of the diode.

I've never seen anything like that before.

Guess I might have to figure out how to take it apart. Well thanks for The info, I'll have to do some research. I'm not very good at fixing things.:undecided:

Well, the lens doesn't want to come off. Not in the mood to force it and screw things up even more, So if anyone has any other ideas or suggestions please get back to me, until then I am unable to lase :cryyy:

Did you get all of the epoxy off of the lens? That bit will simple unscrew once you do.

I can unscrew the lens most of the way, but it seems to get stuck at the end. Not sure whats happening. I'm a bit frustrated and tired right now(about 30 hours with no sleep)... So I think its probably best if I rest before working on it anymore. Well thanks for trying to help a noob like me :)

Well, Just as I thought I would... I managed to screw it up even more.
I got the lens off, but then the laser completely stopped working. One of the battery leds flash when I turn it on, but thats it.

There was no need for you to take the hole lens out to clean:tsk: because its pretty much sealed on the diode end of the lens with all the glue and that its a fixed focus laser were the lens sits in 1 place. All the dust would have been on the top part of the lens were the beam exits.

Most likely if cleaning it dint work you more then likely burned the dust/Dirtiness on the lens when you had it turned on. Witch in that case its pretty much stuck there.

But i guess it doesn't matter now. Can you go into a little more detail of what happened up to the point where it stopped working.?

Well, after unscrewing the lens most of the way, the base started turning with it.. so I turned it on just to make sure It was still working, wouldn't turn on. I screwed the base back in all the way and it seemed to be working again. finished taking the lens out, put it back in and the laser wont work at all.
With a fully charged battery it shows one power led on.. thats all I can think of.

You most likely when turning the base it turned too many times one way and the wires ruining to the diode twisted and connected and shorted the laser or one of the wires ruining to the diode just came off.

I believe its one of these 2 things is it possible to look up the barrel of the host with a flashlight to see all the way up to the diode and see if what i explained above happened.?

Did you see a bright flash then a dim of the diode when you turned it on and it dint work?. Do not turn it back on now to check!!

I don't recall seeing a flash, but I may have missed it. I think the only way to check if the wires came undone is to remove the base. I can't see past it at all

I see, Well I dont want to tell you to do it, So if you decide to do it its on you.

My recommendation is to contact >>Dave<< , He had a couple of arctic and might be able to fix it for you.

If you decide to unscrew it yourself and once you unscrew Post a couple of Pictures of the inside after unscrewing.

But if you are uncapably of fixing it yourself i DONT RECOMMEND you DO IT.
