Can a 50mw 405nm laser start a match?

Just as the title says. I heard this from another poster. If it can- what could a 300mw one do? Thank in advance!

Absolutely. 30mW is about the minimum amount of power needed to light a match. But that 405nm laser has to be focused on the match to light it.
A 300mW bluray can burn or cut a lot more than just a match; it will burn colored paper, melt plastic, etch wood, etc.
