Thank god it's from 3 or 4 years ago. It's always fun to laugh at things like this from our past. Now if that video was dated from just last week, it would actually border on the line of shocking.

I do agree that we should laugh at ourselves, and that the video itself is entertaining. Perhaps the timing just isn't the best, considering what lasersbee was banned for, and that this is an upload by Timelord.
I guess I may be completely wrong, and c0ld won't be interfended at all

LOL unless he knows some slick dance moves it's in his best interest to only have one of these videos floating around.

My wife used to haver a video of me dancing, she actually thought I looked pretty good. The first time I saw it, I was shocked at how awful I looked on the dance floor, looked like some jackass. I made absolutely sure that the video and any copies were destroyed

No it was over him talking very bad about cold on another forum.

And then supposedly jerry denied the accusations when confronted.
As the evidence was removed it was all on hearsay.
The evidence and archives of it were all removed so there were only peoples memory's serving the whole thing, none was ever posted from what i understand those who knew about what was said sent copys via email. but those copys weren't even images they were typed txt docs. that could have been modded.
so no hard evidence even if they were images its super easy to make a perfect fake.
But thats what i was told by some magical member who does not want me to mention them, could be wrong. so dont hold me to it.
if you have enough people working to get someone banned you might just get that member banned, just need the right strings and traps to pull.

There was more. more personal insults directed at cold himself.
This video had almost nothing to do with it.

To be honest I am not completely sure why Jerry was banned either, but supposedly it was mainly because he has said some very rude things about Avery and about LPF members in general, and then lied about it and deleted the evidence, only to be confronted with google caches of the posts in question. I think every person has a slightly different version of the details though, because the evidence was never posted here. From what I have heard, there was actual, hard evidence.

I must disagree with you on one point kiyoukan: I don't think there was really anyone pulling strings and trying to get Jerry banned. I was on the terribly evil laserchat around the time it happened, and have been quite a lot since. I have seen maybe 1 or 2 people display slight satisfaction following his banning, but the rest are either disappointed or indifferent. Maybe there was not a huge outcry to get him back, but there was certainly no rejoicing either.
Jerry's previous confrontations with some members were unrelated to him being banned, and I am pretty sure this video had nothing to do with it either.
The only reason I brought up Jerry being banned in a thread about this video was that this video being posted was originally also an attack on Avery's person, and therefore might not be the best to bring up just now.

i too was on there the moment he got banned and cold was on there to. there were some interesting quotes that came from cold after he banned jerry and from quite a few others.
i normally only go on laser chat alot even before that, but now i only go on when someone pms they want to talk to me about buying or working on something as pms are too slow. thats why i have logs to remember those conversations and things talked about.
Jerry being gone does not affect me nor do i care to much, i am sad for the newbs and others he helped or would have been helping.
I say i dont care but i dont like the feeling it was not 100% legit and was based on a personal dislike.
As to the point the people i am asking for help are in the programming and scanners.
There were quite a few satisfaction quotes.
i am not the person to post logs but i do remember.
For those who want to stir the pot that much by posting them go ahead, but dont alter them thats worse than just not posting them.

Ok I'm in the dark about this whole thing, Jerry was a big part of this forum I was shocked to hear he was banned with a personal, perma ban from Avery.
I have been lurking other forums of late, in order to find more info on what went wrong. I know allot of this drama all goes on in the vet section and in pm's, or laserchat.
What disappointed me most is that the few threads that were open here on LPF discussing his perma bann was not only closed, but deleted.

When a member of his caliber is banned under such closed circumstances. Plus at the same time you have mods like Dave turning in his badge, and other members exploring other forums. you cant help to wonder if it was something else.

Nothing like a big dose of drama. I actually enjoy some of LPF's drama. Maybe I just need to get out more?

Jerry hung himself, sorry to say. He let the trolls make him lose his cool, and they used it against him. Simple fact.

I do think pushing under the rug was a lowball solution. Avery can ban me for saying it, but I lost a pile of respect for the man.

The comments Jerry allegedly made (no proof given), came at a time
when Jerry was temp banned.

So im guessing here, but if he did make 'said' comments, it was at a
time when he was pissed at the ban and those involved..

If he vented on another forum, I dont see the problem.

Bury the hatchet and lets get on with the laser related.

Yup but c0ld is holding a grudge that just wont budge.
Hes hurt by what jerry said and even tho the words may have been said at a time of anger and not truly meant and was just him letting of his anger, kinda like using a diary.
It got read, not by his friends but by the people who put him there, and on top of that they used this time of venting frustration again at a later date to have him banned.
So to bury the hatchet not only do we have to forgive but so does c0ld if he wants to move on then he must move on as well.

I'm inclined to agreed with wannaburn, we've all said and done stuff in anger that we've regretted later, yet we weren't held responsible for that, at least not permanently, were we? I don't think Jerry should have been perma-banned, but just a two-week ban or something, I've had my run-ins with him but don't think he's done enough to warrant a perma-ban, I've had some horrible stuff said about me (worse than what occurred elsewhere) and I've always given people more than their fair share of chances. I say we let by-gones be by-gones and get LPF back to it's old state, before this Arctic madness and everything. What do you guys say? :beer:

I'm still hoping this is all just some passing trouble, and in a few days or weeks we will see jerry return. At that point this will all just be water under the bridge.
