I had a similar scare yesterday. I just got in a bunch of 2.5W c-mounts in the original pusher/locker
thingy whatever it's called. It was wrapped with several layers of heavy packing tape and as I was trying
to be as careful as I could unwrapping it, somehow it still managed to open just a tiny bit. That was
enough to dislodge the diodes and send them banging around inside. I don't know how, but there was
no damage. The things are poorly designed. Even the slightest squeeze around the edge will send the
halves flying apart. The only way to handle them is by squeezing them firmly in the center. I'm sure
DTR knows all about this.
