Buying a laser pointer? NEW AT LASER TALK

All of a sudden, i just had this laser obsession so i bought an ebay laser for $7. I tried "pot modding" it and it broke... I'm thinking of buying one that the beam can be visible in daytime and is very strong such as popping balloons etc... im thinking of buying another laser and try pot modding it because i bought a different brand from the ones on youtube and i screwed up trying to do it on my own. There is a website called gadget town and it sells lasers for a cheap price but i dont know if i should buy a 200mw green laser from it for 47 bucks or buy a different better one. I tried buying one from deal extreme but it won't sell 5mw or higher to the US so is there a different website that sells good green laser pointers?/ btw im trying to buy a green kind.also, is there a different way of modding it so a 5mw or more can be stronger without pot modding or replacing it with a stronger module/diode im a noob lol . help plz PS: im trying to buy a cheap one.

I wouldn't bother with pot modding since you can only get a bit more power out of it and you pretty much half the life-span of you're laser.If I were you I'd put a bit more cash in the fund and have a look at getting a better one.

Keep in mind that the cheap lasers with high power are not actually that power. They are usually way underspec. Get some goggles and find an LPM verified pointer for sale on this forum B/S/T section

Hmm....lets see i have a handheld laser that is 200 times more powerful than what they are ALLOWED to sell on ebay. It's like holding a light saber!!!! So cool!!!!

I wouldn't recommend gadget town.
I would recommend o-like. They have good support and deliver a product that I've always been happy with. I have 3 of their lasers and really like them. I really can't recommend rayfoss that have had some really bad review lately. So order from o-like

Edit: or check out the bst section, but buy from a reputable person or use a middle man.
