Hello,

I'm new in the world of laser.
Before making the purchase, could you give me some serious sites provide me please? Because I know there are a lot of scams.

Here are two sites that I found that seem interesting:

Some good places to get decent lasers for a good price are o-like.com, lazerer.com, and sflasers.com.

Remember to read up on laser safety and get yourself a decent pair of safety glasses before you buy a laser over 5 mW in power!

These are the cheapest safety glasses you can buy that are certified:
Safety

50$ might seem a lot for glasses but remember you only get one set of eyes!

Since when is o-like reputable? :wtf:
 
For safety glasses, if they are reliable 1: They will cost a lot :P 2: They will meet certain regulations. (Not really my area of expertise)

You can buy laser power meters to test the power.

Nope. Lasers of 2-3 Watts of power are totally possible and becoming more and more common.

Powerful lasers will burn. Can't have it any other way. However you can get say a 50 mW green and that will be very bright without much burning.

Some lasers can be visible many hundreds of kilometers away. It depends on the wavelength and power.
 
While of course its true a high power laser will burn much easier. You can have the same powerful laser that wouldn't burn if its focus is set to a wide or even semi wide focus point on the target .If there isn't close to a small enough spot pointed at something you want to burn even if its a two watt 445nm blue it won't burn ,focus is what it comes down to.A low moderate power laser will burn better than a high power one if the spot is adjusted down to a tiny spot.Its the power density that does the burning .you can only push this practice so far down. A too low power laser 25mW as example, will not burn under normal conditions of focusing no matter how hard you try. A Two watt 445nm blue will only take a basic tweak in focus to burn really well, but set at wide focus will Not burn .It will be very bright but not burn.

So these sites do not lie and there really has lasers 2/3 watts, OMG.

I wish not too dangerous laser but is highly visible both day and night and if possible, by far.

Could you advise me a power, a wavelength and a pair of glasses suitable please?
 
Well the most visible wavelength is 532 nm (Green), But being visible in the day is a bit of a challenge. You would need at least 100 mW of power, but 300 would probably have the best chance. 300 mW isn't super dangerously powerful like 1-3 watts, but its still a danger to eyes so be careful.

For glasses, a pair of these would be plenty sufficient:
Eagle Pair® 190-540nm Standard Laser Safety Goggles

EDIT: Bear in mind though, if you choose to get a 532 nm laser, check and make sure that it has an IR filter, because 532 nm lasers also emit IR light which ISN'T blocked by anti-green safety glasses.

No... If we are talking a normal sunny day out side we are talking in the order of tens of watts for visible 532 beam. There was a thread awhile back that I'll have to find the link for, but I am pretty sure they calculated it to be like 100W of 532 with a visible beam at high noon.
 
Okay so maybe re-phrase. You could see the beam indoors during the day with 300 mW

A 300mW 532nm green indoors with some normal light from outside on a normal sunny day will be quite visible, in a hall way for example ,but move it to near to an outside window on same sunny day and you will only just see a tiny fraction of the beam if your not in direct sunlight.

Okay well its as close as the guy can get while no being overly dangerous as he said.
