I was browsing newegg today, and i found these 2 burners:
Newegg.com - LITE-ON DVD Burner - Bulk 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM Black SATA Model iHAS124-04 - CD / DVD Burners
Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 22X DVD Burner 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 22X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 24X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM SATA Model SH-222BB/BEBE - CD / DVD Burners

they are both the same price, but will they have any diodes in them that can be used in a build?
I dont mind if the diodes are red or blue, but it would be pretty upsetting if I bought these, opened them up and there's nothing inside except for random sled stuff.

so any ideas reply to this thread or drop me a pm
Regards

have you ever though about buying a diode like a LPC-826 by itself to save time, money and the guess work?

Honestly nobody knows. The specs don't say if they contains a LPC-826. Even the manufacturers can change the diode in the same batch as long as the writing speed stays the same.
