New memory came back, make sure you allow the PSU to do its own COMPLETE start and shutdown-cool down cycles. Interrupting power /power fail during startup / shutdown was very bad for the tube. I damaged one of my surplus blue heads that way. It became a hard starter after a balked start. Let the timers do their jobs.

Btw, the original head this one was to replace is a 2056-IBM head and it is listed on ebay and has dropped in price to 500 bucks. Well worth it. The sellers name is parallel synth.

Thanks :) yeah if older liconix sit for a long time they do have a tendency to leak helium. :/

edit: though if you run them a long time you may burn off the excess. though it may take months of time to do so.
