has anyone built a muiltilpe diodes blue ray laser flashlight similar in design to a LED flashlight but with 405nm diodes instead?

That's weird, seeing this post - I was JUST thinking of that same thing this morning when I picked up a couple of heatsinks from my machinist buddy.... Sorta like the cylinder in a revolver was the direction I was going for a heatsink with 7 modules pressed in... Wow - now I think I might look into it, I actually kinda blew it off as something only I would think was cool, hmm.....

Well , you'd need some extra battery power that's for sure. And you'd need to allign them all nicely to be parallel, but if the predator sight was possible why not? ::)

This sounds like a totally awesome idea. Predator light using blu-ray? yes.
Cant wait to see it. Hope one of you guys actually builds one.

I already ran it by my machinist buddy and he's willing to CAD and mill it up once I decide to do it (kinda depends on the GF, I've been putzin with WAAAAAyyyy too many projects lately and another one started before I finish those at hand might just push her over the edge...)

Not that I haven't been host shopping a little bit this morning over coffee, though....Hee Hee

Here's the picture Spyderz showed me when I was trying to figure out the battery connections...

As you can see, you could get a 9-LED flashlight and hook up 9 diodes, or however many as there are pairs of positive and negative spots...

I was just chattin about that in another thread.... check my last 5 posts it should be there
